Prof. Asfaw Beney, PhD is a freind of mine from San Diego State University Department of Mechanical Engineering.

He just invented a flexible wind turbine rotor for renewable energy generation. He presented his research at the conference in Ubatuba, Brazil.

He explained that they can make rotors so big that they can't be transported...imagine a rotor the length of a football field!
